Death Cafe - Monthly Drop-In

Our Next Death Cafe Is...

Drop-In and meet on the last Sunday of each month at United Strangers and hold space where you can come and share where you are in your journey with grief and loss, or if you're curious about what a death cafe is.

Next Death Cafe: Sunday, January 26th, 2025

Time: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm PST

Location: United Strangers, 2740 Mount Seymour Parkway, North Vancouver, BC

What Do We Do at a Death Cafe?

Our primary objective in these monthly gatherings is to engage in meaningful conversations, foster connections with fellow participants, and cultivate a sense of community as you embark on your journey of navigating grief and loss.  We believe that by providing a safe space, for open and honest dialogue, we can empower individuals to share their experiences, learn from one another, and find solace in knowing that they are not alone.

Should you have any inquiries or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me, or Sean. Our contact details are provided below. We look forward to connecting with you, engaging in thoughtful discussions on grief and loss, and fostering an environment of belonging and compassion within our community.

Workshops

Anticipatory Grief Workshop

When a loved one is facing a life-threatening illness or injury, grief can be a natural reaction, not only to the anticipation of what’s to come but also to the losses associated with the course of an illness or injury.

This workshop will explore what is “Anticipatory Grief,” and how we can support and nurture ourselves while navigating the different pathways of grief.
